This is an awesome trick taking card game with many unique twists. Megalomania is very easy to learn and a blast to play. If you enjoy trick taking games, such as, spades and hearts; you should really check out this game. The difference between those and Megalomania is the ever changing dominant color (trump color) and the missions each round. Your goal is not always to take the most tricks.
Each round a new mission card is drawn that determines the goal and points that can be gained or lost that round. Yes, lost, some missions take points away if you “meet” the mission goal. Whereas, others give points for meeting the goal. Some missions require you to trade hands each turn, or play all your cards face down in order you want to play them before the round starts.
The game ends after 12 rounds and the person with the most points wins. This is now our favorite trick taking game and we look forward to seeing the upcoming Kickstarter campaign. Be sure to check out our How to Play and full Playthrough below.
