The Hunger is a great game with a lot of strategic elements that we enjoyed playing. The rulebook is very easy to follow and the components are very high quality. Two factors that can really make a board game more enjoyable.
Players are vampires racing back to the castle, while collecting familiars, humans, and powers along the way. Any player that doesn’t make it back before the end of daybreak will burn to ashes.
The Hunger is a deck building, racing game where players collect loot, humans, and familiars with passive abilities. What stood out for us is the race mechanics as you try and gather as many humans, familiars, and powers throughout the game to score the most points. The end goal of the game is to earn the most victory points and making it back to the castle within fifteen rounds. If you have the most victory points and didn’t manage to make it back you are out of the game and cannot win.
The Hunger is a game that with more players gets interesting and competitive. The goal of the game is to earn the most influence points.
